Are you curious about becoming a Freemason?

We meet at the St Andrews rooms in Biggleswade which is nestled at the end of the highstreet of this market town. The St Andrews rooms are our masonic centre and it offers a wide range of facilities that we also offer to local charities and groups that need a space to meet.

Our lodge was founded on the core principles of Freemasonry: Integrity, Friendship, Respect and Service. While these are the central to all lodges, we believe that our lodge in particular offers a warm, inviting experience and fully embraces the diversity of all our members both new and old.

We meet formally 5 times a year from October to April with a break for the summer. However, we also maintain a full schedule of events and other meetings where we will meet and socialise as well as support our charitable activities.

Family is very much at the heart of our lodge and with annual events such as our spring lunch, we welcome not only the families of our brethren but also friends and prospective members.

Often prospective members may worry about the time committment that Freemasonry may require. The important point to remember is that you give the time you can. Family and work are important and often need a greater focus at times, and this is absolutely respected by our lodge and Freemasonry in general.

You are free to choose how much time you can give, and you will always remain a valued member of the lodge.

You may also have heard or been exposed to various comments about Freemasonry, and indeed much information can be found using the internet. If you are interested in Freemasonry and joining, then we would urge that you use official sources such as the United Grand Lodge of England (UGLE) website or simply ask a Freemason.

While there are secrets that are known only to Freemasons, you can think of these like the PIN codes for your bank cards.

At the heart of Freemasonry is our charitable work.

We support local charities and the members of our lodge can nominate other good causes that may benefit from support including donations, access to the rooms to hold events and beyond.

Our charitable efforts are also combined with the other lodges that meet at our rooms with members actively supporting their own and other lodges.

If you are still curious and interested to learn more, please do get in touch today and we would be happy to answer any questions you may have and to show you more about what we do and our members.
