Autumn at the lodge: meetings and celebrations

As October arrives, Robert Bloomfield Lodge No. 8328 is picking up again after the summer break. Here's what's coming before the year is out.

Our meetings

Our first meeting of the new season is on Thursday 22 October at the Biggleswade Masonic Centre. Our next meeting follows on Thursday 19 November, and we close out the year with the Wardens' Supper on Tuesday 8 December.

Ladies Festival: Saturday 14 November

The highlight of the autumn is our Ladies Festival, hosted by our Worshipful Master, W. Bro Luke Staines, and Nicola Perryment. It will be held at The County Suite, Mercure Bedford Centre Hotel, 2 St Mary's Street, Bedford, MK42 0AR.

Guests are asked to arrive for a reception at 6.00pm for 6.30pm, and the dress code is black tie and posh frocks. We'll be raising funds for the Bedford Multiple Sclerosis Therapy Centre, with a raffle on the night. Tickets are £67.50 per person including wine on the table, and tables seat 8 to 12. Rooms are available at the hotel for anyone wishing to stay.

Family & Friends Christmas Lunch: Sunday 6 December

On Sunday 6 December, at the Biggleswade Masonic Centre, we're holding our Robert Bloomfield Family & Friends Christmas Lunch, "No Turkey". It's open to our members and to friends and families, and is centred around the children of this and other lodges.

There will be a Winter Warmers Buffet, a raffle, the "Does my key fit?" challenge, a table quiz, and a visit and a present from Santa for all the children.
